Johnny Cash- "A Hundred Highways"

'American V: A Hundred Highways' began recording in 2002, and took over eight months at Cash's home near Nashville and Rick Rubin's Los Angeles studio to complete. During the recording process in Nashville, Johnny and Rick formed a routine normally regrouping in the morning when Cash's energy was at its highest for a couple of hours each day. Songs were typically brought to the table by Johnny or Rick after hearing or thinking of a song that would fit.
